Soulfolk Experience releases new EP exclusively on YouTube

Maritri, David and V. Jeff all had videos on hand written for this current moment, and a need to express those thoughts in the real world. With all the usual launch resources on hold due to the global pandemic, they made the decision to release a new EP straight to YouTube. Thus was born the Soulfolk Experience Volume 3. Essentially a YouTube playlist, it also allows them the flexibility to add more songs as they come and communicate directly with the fans in real time. Since the returns for indie acts are so minimal on streaming platforms and there is little income for musicians in this moment, it made the most practical sense as well, sparing them the usual expenses associated with mounting a new release. It contains a combination of new and past material; videos for Maritri’s “Stay”, “Believe” and “Wilderness”, David’s “Shake It Up” and “The Fall”, the group track “Hold On”, plus “State Of The Union”, a sneak appearance from V.Jeff’s side project with Soulfolk drummer Howard Alper, Electric Powered Soul. Collaborators on the musical side include Raymond Angry, noted keyboardist, guitarist Marcus Machado, a former Rolling Stone Young Gun winner, vocalist Sabrina Clery and emcee Toni Blackman.
